Juris Petraškevičs

Juris Petraškevičs is a painter and printmaker with a sense of creative freedom and artistic lightness.

He is one of the most authoritative figures in Latvian book design  and a professor at the Department of Graphic Art at the Latvian Art Academy in Riga who has contributed to the formation of a whole new generation of book illustrators.

Many of his characters live parallel lives in book illustrations and animated cartoons.
