Chiara Mezzalama

 

 

Chiara Mezzalama was born in Rome in 1972. She currently lives in Paris with her two children. As the daughter of an Italian ambassador, she spent her childhood abroad.

She is a writer, translator and psychotherapist. Chiara is the author of successful children’s stories, among which the award-winning The Garden of Inside-Outside and she collaborates with several Italian magazines and the literary newspaper, Leggendaria. She writes for the literary blog “Giuditta Legge” and is a member of Piccoli Maestri, an association of writers who encourage young readers.

She has also published two novels, as well as a report on the Paris attacks in January 2015 ,Voglio essere Charlie: diario minimo di una scrittrice a Parigi, published by Edizioni Estemporanee.

The original, French edition of The Garden of Inside-Outside has been awarded with the Prix Saint-Exupéry, the Prix Chrétien de Troyes and the Prix Sorcières.
